Audits

A recent audit by ACT Workcover of 343 businesses on first aid and injury reporting in theworkplace has revealed an alarming lack of awareness among employers and staff of their obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1989.

“Thirty-five businesses did not have a first aid kit at all and a further 75 businesses had first aid kits with out of date stock, or had kits that were unsuitable for the tasks carried out in the specific workplace.”
