Workshop Summary

This 2 day event has a focus on 2 aspects of training:

• The delivery – teaching a serious subject in a fun way
• The content – ensuring you have the latest information combined with mini workshops to ensure best practice is being taught to your students

This is our 10th annual workshop are extending the invitation to all first aid trainers and training organisations to come and become better trainers.

The focus of the workshop is on the skills needed to be sucessful.  Here's the program so far:

• Adapting to the new WHS environment - what the changes mean for trainers and how we train
• Getting to know the new First Aid code of practice
• Hands-on scenarios and training sessions - We have broken down key learning into bite sized chunks that involves all participants having a go. These mini workshop skills will then be incorporated into a scenario that hones the skills of trainers to impart confidence in the program they teach. This workshop will provide 'real world' knowledge and skills in how to perform first aid in a safe environment
• Networking opportunities - our annual conference dinner is a chance for you to meet and network with you peers in the industry
